How to select linear guide to avoid not meeting the technical requirements or excessive waste of purchase costs, PYG has four steps as follows:
First step: confirm the width of linear rail
To confirm the width of linear guide, this is one of the key factor to determine the working load, the specification of PYG linear guide is based on the width of the linear rail as standard.
Second, confirm the length of linear rail
To confirm the length of linear rail, means the total length of linear rail, not sliding length. Please remember the following formula for linear guide length selection! Total length = effective sliding length + block distance ( above 2 pieces) + block length * block quantity + safety sliding length at both ends, if has the shield, must add the compressed length of the shield of both ends.
Third, to confirm the type and quantity of blocks
PYG has two types block: flange type and four-row wide linear block. For flange blocks, lower height and wider, mounting holes are threaded through holes; four-row wide linear blocks, little higher and little narrower, mounting holes are blind threaded holes. The quantities of linear blocks must be confirm by customer’s actual calculation. Follow a rule: as little as can be carried, as much as can be installed.
The linear guide model, quantity and width consist of three factors for working load size.
Forth, to confirm the precision grade
At present, the common precision level in the market is C level ( general level), H level(advanced), P level ( precision level), for most industrial machinery, general precision can meet the requirements, little higher requirements can use H level, P level usually selected by CNC machine tools and other equipment.
Except above four parameters, we also should confirm the combined height type, preloading level and some actual factors etc.
