Maintenance plan for linear guide pair

(1) The rolling linear guide pair belongs to precision transmission components and must be lubricated. Lubricating oil can form a layer of lubricating film between the guide rail and the slider, reducing direct contact between metals and thus reducing wear. By reducing frictional resistance, energy loss caused by friction can be reduced, and equipment operating efficiency can be improved. Lubricating oil can play a role in heat conduction, exporting the heat generated inside the machine from the guide rail, thereby maintaining the normal operating temperature of the equipment.

(2) When installing the guide rail pair on the equipment, try not to remove the slider from the guide rail. This is because the sealing gasket at the bottom is sealed with a certain amount of lubricating grease after assembly. Once foreign objects are mixed in, it is difficult to add lubricant, which affects the lubrication performance of the product.

(3) Linear guides undergo rust prevention treatment before leaving the factory. Please wear specialized gloves during installation and apply rust proof oil after installation. If the guide rail installed on the machine is not used for a long time, please regularly apply anti rust oil to the surface of the guide rail, and it is best to attach industrial anti rust wax paper to prevent the guide rail from rusting when exposed to air for a long time.

(4) For machines that have already been put into production, please regularly check their operating conditions. If there is no oil film covering the surface of the guide rail, please immediately add lubricating oil. If the surface of the guide rail is contaminated with dust and metal dust, please clean it with kerosene before adding lubricating oil

(5) Due to differences in temperature and storage environment in different regions, the time for rust prevention treatment also varies. In summer, the humidity in the air is higher, so maintenance and upkeep of the guide rails are usually carried out every 7 to 10 days, and in winter, maintenance and upkeep are usually carried out every 15 days.
